Things Iīve read and what I thought of them. This should be much fun for me and for those who think Iīm a pompous, over-intellectualizing
buffoon. |

An unusual book. Originally published in the hey day of New Age , consiousness expanding, philosophical mumbo-jumbo, it takes the tack that all
the theories presented are worth exploring without judgement. I guess that is the "scientific" way, but some of the theories are WAY out there. Edgar Cayce is presented on a par with Albert Einstein.
In the epilogue, White pretty much discounts all of the theories in a pretty vigorous manner (obviously, I `m nearly finished). I canīt wait to write on this in more depth. |

The Complete Idiotīs Guide to Philosophy |
I have wanted to understand Philosophy in more depth since my college days (I guess I should have taken a class when I had the chance!).
Although I really have a problem with the title of the series (much like the Dummies series), this really seemed to cover most of the territory I wanted to cover...Classical to Post Modern. |

Impact by Gerrit L. Verschuur |
Subtitled The Threat of Comets & Asteroids, this was published after the very much publicized impact of comet Shoemaker-Levy into Jupiter in
1994. So far, fairly readable and combines science, history and biography very well. Similar in style to Nemesis by xxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxx. |
